Chapter 37

Day 163

Face-plant while hopping off the bed.

By the time I awakened, it was mid-morning and the triplets were at school.

I spent my day working on the chores and painting.

The triplets arrived home and immediately started playing games to decompress from their school day.

Right about that time, I completed my painting, so I decided to take it to the consignment shop in Lucky Palms.

With the twins cared for at home by the triplets, I decided to try out The Lucky Simoleon Casino. It is very close by.

Outside the Lucky Simoleon I met a man named Wulf Morgan. Wulf Morgan appears to be a professional gambler that plays in high stakes games.

After some introductory small talk, I asked Wulf if he could give me some gambling tips over a meal at the coffee shop. He hesitantly agreed and we walked across the street.

The meal and the conversation were pleasant. Wulf is a closed book. I am not sure I knew him any better at the end of the meal than I did at the beginning. He is a friendly man, but there are clearly walls around him that shout, "Do not enter!" I am unaccustomed to this and my reaction was a mix of confusion and frustration. After our meal we walked back over to the casino; I couldn't wait to try my hand at blackjack.

I improved my gambling skill level to a two and walked away $120 richer.

Right about the time I decided to walk away from the blackjack table, Wulf was hitting the jackpot with the slots.

I ended the evening by conversing with this enigma called Wulf. He is an exceptionally pleasant man and I enjoyed his company despite my confusion and frustration over this inane dance we seem to be locked into. If I take one step too close, he retreats behind his wall. Yet, I can't write him off. After all, I have my own walls I am locked behind.

Day 164

Jadyn walks around with a scowl on her face about half the time.

I gave Argus a call and invited him over for his twins' birthdays.

Aiden has my hair color and Argus' eye color. Avery Rose has my hair and eye color. After the party the Argus decides to hang out for a while. The teens amused themselves and I called for repair services for the TV and started toddler training.

The TV repairwoman arrived and instead of coming right in, she and Argus started chatting it up on the front porch.

After she walked into the house, the TV repairwoman proceeded to tell a ghost story in the foyer to an invisible audience.

I thought I was going to have to fire her, but she eventually repaired the television.

I think someone has a crush on Argus.

Argus is a great guy. He is incredibly attractive and nice. But I am back to making babies, not looking for a relationship. It was time for that "let's just be friends" chat. It didn't go too badly.

Jadyn riding an invisible horse LOL

And pretending to be a kitty cat

Insane children, gotta love them =D

I slipped into something sexy and decided to give The Lone Wulf a call. I think the secret to having a good time with this man is to let go of any expectations and adopt the attitude, "It is what it is." He agreed to meet me at Hotfoot's Casino.

I didn't bother with the slots or blackjack table. That is not what I why I was there. I was gambling that The Lone Wulf was up for playing a different kind of game.

And he was.

After our photo booth tryst, we drove out to the graveyard and went to the hot springs behind it. Once there, we proceeded to skinny dip and enjoy ourselves.

Fist pump or SCUBA signal for "low on air"?

Heading home with that Stride of Pride.

Day 165

I woke up with that unpleasant and familiar nausea.

This child is so strange!

I was exhausted after my late night with Wulf, so I promptly went back to sleep.

The second time I awakened was no different the the first, except this time I had to race for one of the kids bathrooms since mine was occupied by Serena.

The triplets decided to spend the day at the swimming pool.

... just call a spade a spade...

The triplets decided to end their day out with a meal at the diner.

By the end of the day, Aiden is potty trained and can talk.

I'm expecting again =D

Day 166

The day was lovely. Avery Rose is potty trained and can walk now. I achieved the Botanical Boss award for harvesting 75 perfect fruits and vegetables. My garden is thriving even though I cannot tend to it every day. I received news that the painting I consigned sold for $3280.
